a note from jim silva on Green Line Jim Silva South Medford Residents Together

After so many years of advocacy, meetings and communication with the MBTA, the Green Line Extension stops at Medford/Tufts and Ball Square/South Medford are finally opening on Monday!

This day would not have been possible without all of the amazing activism, dedication and passionate work from our community advocates and working group members.

Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn be on hand at the Ball Square/South Medford Station on Monday at 7am with Somerville Mayor Katjana Ballantyne to greet riders, gain some feedback and celebrate this accomplishment with everyone who made it possible. Then at 10, the Mayor will be at Medford/Tufts for a ceremony with our federal delegation, State and MBTA leaders as well as Christine Barber - State Representative.

We hope to see you all there!
