Boston Globe article:
Mickey
Bliss, who ran Cantab’s downstairs entertainment venue, Cafe Bohemia,
called the club a victim of COVID-19 in a social media post.'
“We
want to thank everyone for all the support over the years, we wish you
well, and we will keep the Bohemia website open. Please send us your
ideas as how we can continue to keep promoting artists during this
COVID-19. And we’ll see what happens,” he says.

is with the Thrillers doing Peanuts, but as he got older it got
greater. I remember going back to Can Tab one Saturday when I came back
to Boston in 1999 and went back a few more times after that.

Yes,
I want to own this legendary bar. I frequented the place in the early
80s. I met my spouse at Man Ray up the road. I went there often to
listen to the legendary Little Joe Cook.
His song Peanuts would really set the place a rockin. It is a treasured legendary club and it needs someone with big bucks who also has a retro Doo W__p soul to take it over. So the heritage and legacy of the place can live on. Little Joe Cook was actually my neighbor for a time back then when i was a struggling 20 year old but could still afford to live next door to an American Icon. Oh, those were the days, when you could make next to nothing and live in Boston/Cambridge. Those days are gone but I hope this legendary club never goes away. Otherwise, just take it down and cart it away to the Smithsonian for safekeeping. RIP Little Joe. You were amazing and your hipster entourage; the young adored you.
