The age-old question in Boston, where do club-goers wander off to after the 2 AM curfew arrives? The fairy godmother tells Cinderella that she will NOT have to be back at home before the clock strikes midnight...she can go to the Encore casino 24/7, 365 days a year! In 2020, the intercalary (or "leap") year, 366!
When you walk in to the Everett casino -on the shores of the mighty Mystic river - you are greeted by this dazzling display, flowers and horses and color and trees...it's just stunning that the once-upon-a-time desert wasteland of Everett has been so transformed into this majestic paradise. And the river, which is now restored to the gem that it once was, will have renewed interest from visitors coming from around the world.
What's key to the fans of Club Bohemia @ the Cantab Lounge is a fun place to go in the wee hours of the morning. You can Uber or Lyft over to Everett and Encore itself, or to Wellington Station in Medford to get the shuttle to the casino. Keep in mind, the Encore onsite bars will be closed but the casino will serve players drinks from 2 to 4am ( the club closing time in NYC) and you can still hang out twenty-four hours so this is going to be the go-to place for after hours in Boston.
This story has so many facets that one article just can't do it justice, so let this serve as an overview with many more aspects of this big addition to Boston nightlife to unfold in the coming weeks and months.
Friday was a massive press day from about 11 am to 4 pm.
Saturday was a flowered horse of a different color. At about 10:15 am we took the Encore shuttle boat from Everett over to Long Wharf, our first stop with tour guide David O'Donnell was the Society of Arts & Crafts at 100 Pier 4 Boulevard Suite 200.

Brigitte, Martin, the Executive Director of the Society of Arts and Crafts gave us a tour of this amazing entry into Boston's many vibrant and wonderful exhibits. It seems the Encore goal is to give the world access to the many beautiful, historical elements that make up historic Boston and, quite frankly, those of us who live here don't have enough time to explore our own world.
Martin allowed my camera to Facebook "live" her speech, and she's as interesting and inspiring as the presentations at the Society.
