The band Melt - Lindsey Kit on vocals, Dan Inzana on Guitar, Paul Pipitone on bass, Ben Thomspon on drums, rocked Club Bohemia downstairs at the Cantab April 18, 2014.
Melt took the stage at 10:21 pm opening with "Spiral" - something distinctly different after the Boney-M styled dance pop of the previous act, Dan Oulette. This was pure new wave ave in the new millennium - think The Rolling Stones "Sway" played backwards, solid and powerful with a great audience response.

Howdy family, friends, & fans:
It might be safe to say that the long winter is over and spring is bursting with newness and potential. And so it is with MC4, who have quietly transitioned into a different persona: we are now FUN ERA FIFTY. As our attached press bio explains, Clara has left the group to pursue other activities and we welcome my ole friend from the 80s/90s Boston music scene, Mr. Geoff Pango. We have crossed paths through the years, and when I was thinking of a replacement, he just popped into my head. Turned out, he was eager for a new premise and his talent & enthusiasm has thrilled us during the past few months as we rehearse material. We've also started a new recording to capture the group and hopefully that will give us some definition & some more gigs. After all, this is what we do to continue our creativity. Hope to see many of you in the coming future.

Anderson Lynne Mar, a well-known figure in the Boston music scene and the city’s underground and goth/fetish circles, has passed away at the age of 41. Mar suffered critical injuries from a March 24 fire at a Fall River apartment, and today that city’s officials revealed that the Wakefield musician and promoter died Friday after four days on life support. Southern New England news station NBC 10 reported that the fire was an accident, and caused by candles that ignited a couch at the first-floor Fulton Street residence.
Mar was an instructor at the Boston School of Rock and founder of Dark Sky Productions, a live music and nightlife booking agency that specialized in goth, punk, and underground music. She was also the singer of goth band Sans Nomenclature, whose next gig was Friday, April 11 at the Cantab Lounge’s “Club Bohemia” in Cambridge. It would have been Mar’s 42nd birthday.

Arlington, Mass.
On its website, a quote from the Arlington veteran group Fox Pass reads, "[t]he first Fox Pass era ended before the real explosion of Boston music that came in the early 1980s and therefore they are somewhat obscure in history, except for those who were there."
"There" was a special place in time for Arlington residents who had already witnessed a favorite son, 25-year-old Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson, performing at Woodstock with his group Canned Heat and singing on Top 40 hits "On The Road Again” and "Goin' Up The Country."
Boston proper had Barry & The Remains opening for The Beatles and Willie "Loco" Alexander joining The Velvet Underground, but Arlington, had other musical gifts to offer, including The Prince & The Paupers and, just a few years later, Fox Pass.
